Jesus really cares about your heart. He doesn’t want to see it broken, abused, misplaced or disappointed. Guarding your heart is what he’s hoping you’ll let him do. He’s really good at it. In fact in Zephaniah 3:17, he describes himself as a Mighty Warrior who fights on your behalf–how cool is that?! As we study Matthew 6:19-34 this week, I want you to read it through this context: Jesus wants to guard my heart. It’ll make all the difference.
On another note, we have nine more spaces open for our 9-week Financial Peace University class starting Monday nights Oct. 12 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. This is one of the most important things a person or couple can do to learn to get out of debt, manage their manage, and spend and save wisely. It’ll change your life. Click here to register. Childcare is available for the first five kids of those who sign up.
Lastly, we’re bringing a consultant group in to help us to assess our children’s ministry as part of our efforts to constantly improve. You can help in two ways: First, participate in a listening group where the consultants will hear from CrossBridgers about their experience in the children’s ministry. The group meets from 9:30-10:45 a.m. on Monday October 5 at the community center. Second, we will hold a stakeholders debrief on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m at the community center. Your input is the only way we’ll get an accurate assessment. Childcare is available. Can you make it? Email Renee@CrossBridgeCommunityChurch.com.
