Many of you are familiar with the Antioch Network of churches who host the World Mandate Missions Conference. Like us, they’re passionate about missions and discipleship. Over the past year we’ve been working with Antioch and have adopted their model to develop the CrossBridge Discipleship School starting in September.
The goal is to offer you the chance to invest in a year of systematic teaching in the classroom combined with community and mission experiences to help you discover God’s calling for your life and to be equipped to live it out.
One of the distinctive characteristics of the school is that it combines study and teaching with community and experience. We want to go beyond knowledge and into the realm of application. In the school you’ll be stretched to go deeper in relationships in a discipleship group and in reaching out to others. You’re going to grow like never before and I think your life will be changed forever.
Here a link to the application and the deadline is June 5th, so time is running out. Part of the application is to be turned in, but the other part of it is to help you take an inventory of some of the boxes and arrows in your life from which God wants to set you free. Likewise, because there is a cost associated with the school due to the supplies, retreats and mission experiences involved, we’ve included a financial worksheet. Again, this is simply for your own purposes to help you count the cost. You won’t be turning this information in.
This Sunday you’re invited to an information meeting about the CrossBridge Discipleship School after each service. I hope you can make it.
