The Vine

Moms connected to Jesus, Moms connected Together.

“I am the Vine, you are the branches.” -Jesus

What is The Vine?

The Vine, formerly associated with MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers),  gathers every other Monday beginning in September to equip and encourage one another for the role of motherhood and discipling our children. We aim to foster healthy connections among moms and to grow in our relationships with Jesus. Specifically designed to serve moms of babies and preschool children, our door is open to all moms from pregnancy onward because we all mother better together.

What to Expect

The Vine is a safe and loving place to share your worries and joys, triumphs, and failures. We grow well when we are well-connected; and we are growing in motherhood as our children grow, too. A typical meeting consists of a potluck-style breakfast, a speaker or demonstration for learning and encouragement, and time for fellowship and discussion with other moms in small connection groups.

2020-2021 Membership Options

Online Members will be able to stream our Monday morning meetings and will belong to an online small group for fellowship and encouragement meeting on corresponding Mondays at 8 p.m. Meetings will last about one hour to ninety minutes.

How will the status of COVID-19 affect my experience at The Vine?

We recognize that the situation is evolving and unpredictable, so we have explored different options and scenarios.  At the forefront of each plan is to keep you and your little ones safe and healthy, while providing a platform that will help moms be better connected to Jesus and to one another in this season. We will respectfully defer to the recommendations, protocols, and ordinances as declared by our state, local, and church leadership.  We will do our best to provide you with an excellent experience while observing the requirements and considerations of the special circumstances of this pandemic.

We will meet according to any of the following plans, determined on a week-by-week basis. These plans are subject to amendment based on the status of the virus and changes made by government and church leadership.

Plan A

The Vine will be able to meet in person as intended, and we will practice recommended protocols for safety and social distancing to the best of our ability.

Plan B

If large group gatherings are limited by government orders or CrossBridge’s recommendations, then we will divide into groups and alternate which groups attend in person and which attend virtually. The number of people attending in person will be determined according to the updated maximum gathering size. (Example: ½ of the group may meet in person, the other ½ virtually. The following meeting, they will alternate.)

Plan C

If gatherings are not allowed or are severely restricted in size, then we will conduct meetings for all members to attend virtually, including small group gatherings and discussions.

All virtual meetings for The Vine will take place on Monday evenings at 8:00 p.m.

What will happen to my full membership registration fee if we aren’t able to meet in person?

For each in-person meeting that is canceled and forced to meet virtually, The Vine will refund $8 to each member registered with childcare (up to $80), and $5 to each member registered without childcare (up to $50). All reimbursements will be made at the end of the year, and will only be based on the number of meetings canceled by The Vine. Refunds will not be given for meetings a member chooses not to attend.

Can I change my Membership Type?

  • Conversion from online to in-person membership (with associated fees) will be offered only at the start of the second semester, space-permitting.
  • If you are currently fully registered for in-person meetings and would like to convert to an Online Membership, you may do so by August 15th.
