Harvey Relief Efforts

Now's the time for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. San Antonio is already providing shelter for 10,000 people fleeing the hurricane, and more are expected. When pain and tragedy strike, we have an incredible opportunity to show the love and concern of Jesus, so let's step up!

UPDATE!

Please join us on Sunday September 24th in the main sanctuary for a fun family activity to support the families affected by Hurricane Harvey. You can come anytime from 1:00pm to 5:00pm (or come and stay the entire time!). We will be making Baskets of Hope and homemade cards of encouragement, love, and support. Supplies will be provided. Each basket includes laundry detergent pods, rolls of quarters for the laundromat, a laundry bag, and hangers. This is an excellent opportunity to include your children in a local outreach event. Light refreshments will be provided. If you have any question please email Kate Yancosek

Here are three other ways you can make a difference immediately:
  • Volunteer locally at a Red Cross Shelter by clicking here.
  • Volunteer in Rockport/Victoria by clicking here.
  • Give financially to local efforts through the Red Cross by clicking here.

The current needs (and things are changing daily) are for:

1. Brand new car seats
2. New or gently used cribs and strollers
3. New, packaged underwear for children and adults of all sizes
4. Gift cards of $25.00 to Walmart or HEB which are both now reopened in Rockport

If you have any questions about volunteering or donating other items, please contact Katie Yancosek, our CrossBridge Relief Coordinator.
