The Gathering

The Gathering is a powerful, uplifting setting where friendships are formed, walks with the Lord are deepened, freedom from strongholds is received, and deep calls to deep in worship, prayer, and real, safe community. On Wednesday mornings, we provide FREE CHILDCARE and your choice of meeting in a Study Group, Prayer Group, or Freedom Group. If the morning time doesn't suit your schedule, we also offer both a Study Group and Freedom Group in the evening on Thursdays (childcare not provided).  The cost of all necessary books and study materials is included in the registration fee, which is payable via PayPal online (no account needed; online payment option not available for Freedom Groups) or via exact cash or check at the first meeting. You will receive your book and/or materials at that time. Please explore our groups below!

Learning from the Dwelling Places of God       by JoLynn Posey

This study gives insight to who God is, who we are, and how our relationship with Him works best. We will explore illustrations and symbolism used through the Old and New Testaments in order to better appreciate the active role of Jesus in making a way for us to dwell with the Father.

Freedom Groups

This is a place for those who have received Freedom Prayer, and are interested in pursuing and walking out their freedom long-term in a safe, small group discipleship setting, combined with Freedom Prayer and Bible study. While still a part of The Gathering, these groups have a separate commitment and application process and require a commitment to both the fall and spring semesters.

To Apply:

  • Carefully read the Freedom Groups Agreement and prayerfully consider your commitment to these meaningful guidelines. Each participant will sign a copy of the agreement during the first session.

Prayer Groups

Prayer Groups are gatherings of women with the expressed purpose of intercession for one another, The Gathering, and the Body of Christ at Crossbridge, in San Antonio, and throughout the world. It is a powerful time of seeking, praising, and petitioning The Lord together. Be a part of what God is doing in The Gathering! Prayer Groups are only offered on Wednesday mornings, and at no cost. Genesis Part 1 by Kay Arthur/Precepts Ministry International

When you immerse yourself in the Biblical account of Creation, you will be led to know your Creator in deeper ways, increasing your awe of Him.  You will also gain insight into who you are in relationship to your Maker and will gain a more complete understanding of your own purpose and how to live.  Explore the Biblical account of Creation found in chapters one and two, how the world was created, and how man came into being.

What are Study Groups?

Our Study Groups meet together to track, discuss, share, and pray over material from the group's respective biblical study book. In the past, we have used material from Beth Moore, Christine Caine, Priscilla Shirer, Jennie Allen and more. Wednesday morning Study Groups divide their time between a Large Group and Small Group format. Large Group time is spent with the entire Study Group, watching the week's DVD segment and partaking in discussion, sharing, and prayer, while Small Groups are composed of approximately 4 - 5 women and are a place for deeper, more intimate levels of sharing, processing, accountability, and prayer. If there are any ladies with whom you would like to be placed in a Small Group, please note their name(s) on your registration form. Every effort will be made to honor requests, particularly mutual requests, though we cannot provide a guarantee.
