Discipleship

Disciple Making

In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus tells his followers to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey everything He's commanded--it's the life mission for all who call Him Lord.

Many Christians feel a sense obligation about this, but in reality, Jesus commands this out of love. He's wanting to share with us the thing that's closest to his heart; the thing about which He's most passionate. He's also showing us how to have the most significant, abundant life possible. In the New Testament, we read about storing up treasure in heaven and what kind of life matters in eternity.

In 1 Corinthians 3:11-15, this season of life on this earth is the time you have to build and present Jesus a life that honors him. As you become equipped to making disciples, you'll experience not only a new intimacy and joy with Jesus, but you'll see Him use your life to bless others.

If you want to be discipled and learn to disciple others, ask your Lifegroup leader to help.
